About Me

My photo
The Hawkeye Plate
When my wife and I met, we quickly discovered we don't have much in common. But thankfully we ultimately realized that we both love to cook. Neither of us have any formal training to speak of. For me, it's been the old trial-and-error method for years. Thankfully she has been able to give me pointers that she learned growing up. Our tastes, and skills, have been evolving. I want to push ourselves to try cooking & eating new things. I was recently asked by a friend what are some good dishes we have made lately. For some reason I was drawing a blank. So I decided to start a food blog documenting our meals. I think it will serve as a good way to keep track of what we're putting into our bodies. It should also force us to become more creative ... and to cook. We hope you enjoy our culinary trials along with us. And maybe you'll get a good idea for something to try yourself.
