Pepperoni Rolls

There was another football Saturday party this weekend. But for a change of pace, it was at someone else's house.  It was a potluck where the host & hostess made slow cooked shredded pork & beef sandwiches, and the rest of us were asked to bring a side.  We decided to get ingredients at the store, and make something fresh there.

One of my favorite appetizers are the pepperoni rolls from Old Chicago.  This is a really easy way to make them yourself at home.  Buy the crescent roll sheets that are not perforated.  Roll them out and fill them with pepperonis and mozzarella cheese.  Roll them up and bake them.

Let them cool for a minute or two before slicing them into smaller pieces.  Serve them with some marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.  This is a really fun appetizer that is pretty darned clever.  I kept going back for these again & again.
